Common questions
How working with Paramount works
Joining the network, finding plans, submitting a bid, and who to call while you are pricing. If your question is about a specific package, the fastest answer comes from that package page.
Joining the network
How do I join?
Submit the company application with your trades and the states you service. Our team reviews every application, and you get an email the moment a decision is made. The plan room unlocks once your company is approved.
What documents do I need?
None to join. A W-9, certificate of insurance, and capability statement are preferred because they save time when you bid, but they are not required to apply — you can upload them any time from your company profile.
How long does review take?
Most applications are reviewed within a few business days. We verify licensing, insurance limits, and territory coverage before granting plan room access.
Does approval guarantee work?
No. Approval grants plan room access so you can be invited to packages that match your trades and states. Every invitation and award is at Paramount’s discretion.
Plan room and documents
Where do I find plans and specs?
In the plan room. Open any package to see its scope, bid instructions, due date, and the plan and spec documents our team has released for it.
How do I know when a new package is posted?
Approved subcontractors get an email invitation when a package is released. You can also opt in to a text message from your company profile if we have your mobile number.
Can I limit invitations to my own states?
Yes. In your company profile you can choose to receive invitations for every job nationwide or only for the states you service.
What if a drawing or addendum looks out of date?
Ask through the questions box on the package page. Our team confirms the current revision and publishes the answer so everyone pricing that package sees the same information.
Bidding and submissions
How do I submit a bid?
Open the package in the plan room and use the bid form on the project page. You enter your base bid, alternates, inclusions, exclusions, qualifications, and proposed schedule, and you can attach your own proposal.
Who do I talk to while I am pricing a bid?
Every bid has a Paramount bid coordinator and project manager assigned to it. They handle scope questions, addenda, and clarifications — reach them through the package questions box or from your invitation email.
What happens after I submit?
Your bid shows in My Bids with a live status: submitted, under review, revision requested, accepted, or declined. You get an email each time the status changes.
Can I change my bid after sending it?
If something needs to change, your bid coordinator can send a revision request with a note on what to revisit. You submit the revision from the same package page, and the deadline for it is shown in your portal.
How do I ask a question about a specific package?
Use the questions box on that package page. Answers are published back to the package so every subcontractor pricing it works from the same scope.
Your account
Can I update my trades and states later?
Yes. Your company profile in the portal lets you keep trades, service states, contact details, and compliance documents current at any time.
Where do I see my bids and their status?
My Bids in the subcontractor portal lists every bid you have submitted with its current status and any revision notes.
Who do I contact about access problems?
Send us a note through the contact form with your company name and the email on the account, and our team will sort out the access issue.
